Studying from home
The last few weeks of my campus life have changed dramatically. On May 15, I left school for home as usual. However, I can’t go back to school and take courses at the classroom. I could only stay at home and take courses through distance learning. To some extent, I think it’s convenient because I don’t have to walk to the classroom and wear make-ups. It saves a lot of time and it’s quite comfortable to stay in my own room. However, distance learning does have some drawbacks. For example, teacher and students are possible to encounter technical problems. Moreover, it’s a big challenge for some kinds of courses, such as Contemporary Dance in NanHua, to teach via Internet.
One of the teacher from Institute of marketing management taught us that “It’s inevitable to face changes in human lives, we should learn how to make changes to in the waves of the pandemic. We should never give up.” I think he is right. We still can come up with different ways to overcome the difficulties.
When I took the Improvisation class online, the teacher told us to explore the space in our house and shot a short film, and share it with the classmates later. After receiving the directions, I started to explore the space of my home, trying to find a special place to shoot a film. When I was searching, I saw the different angles of the furniture, I notice the sun light was pouring down through interstice of the leaves, and flowing on the stairs. Previously, I thought of the stairs as a dangerous place because there is no fence to prevent one from falling. However, its unique structure and the beautiful sunlight caught my attention, so I decided to dance at the stairs.
